leche flan
1 can (390 g) evaporated milk
1 can (390g) condensed milk
10 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla extract or lemon essence
For Caramel:
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup water
Directions
1)Preheat oven to 370 degree.
2)In saucepan,mix the sugar and water.Bring to a boil for a few minutes until the sugar caramelize.
3)Pour the caramelized sugar into aluminum moulds spread the caramel on the bottom of the moulds.
4)Mix well the evaporated milk,condensed milk,egg yolks and vanilla or blender.
5)Gently pour the mixture on top of the caramel on the aluminum moulds.Fill the moulds about 1 1/4 inch thick.
6)Cover moulds individually with aluminum foil.
7)Place the moulds on a larger baking pan half filled with hot water.
8)Bake for 45 mins.
9)Or steam for about 20 mins.
