Pork sinigang

Ingredients

1.7 lbs pork loin or pork steak,cut in medium chunks

3 tomatoes,chopped

2 medium onion,diced

3 cloves garlic,minced

kangkong(river spinach)optional

string beans

2 pcs horse radishes,sliced

2 pcs siling mahaba pang sigang(green finger pepper)

1 pack sampalok(tamarind)

3 tablespoons fish sauce(patis)

2 cups water depend on you

Directions

1)In a pot,saute garlic,onions and tomatoes.Cook for 3 mins,add the water and simmer for 5 mins until the tomotoes start to break.

2)Add the pork.Simmer for 20 mins or until the pork is tender.Add the tamarind and continue to cook for 4 mins.

3)Add the horse radishes and simmer for 5 mins then add the string beans,river spinach,patis(fish sauce) and siling mahaba or green finger pepper.Let cook for 5 mins.

4)Serve with hot plain rice along with patis.
